Like other leaders in the segment, the Mazda3 comes in two body styles. There's a traditional sedan and a hatchback. Both are stylish, well-equipped, and offer the same performance, though we do suggest the hatchback for shoppers who prefer more cargo space.

Performance

The 2021 Mazda3 is available in four trims (Base, Select, Preferred, and Premium) and all have a 2.5L engine with 186 horsepower. Except for the base, all trims have available AWD, which you'll mostly find at our Reno NV dealership. This gives the Mazda3 an advantage over the Toyota Corolla and Honda Civic, as they don't have available FWD.

To give the Mazda3 sedan and hatchback their class-above ride handling, all trims have G-Vectoring Control Plus for added exhilaration when accelerating and when going around curves.

Amenities

Infotainment: the Mazda3 has a wildly impressive infotainment setup! All trims have an 8.8-inch touchscreen, and this is larger than most offerings you'd find on midsize crossovers. After the base trim you'll receive standard Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto®.

Seating: the Select and Preferred have leatherette seats that offer a hint of refinement while maintaining an affordable price tag. For more panache when driving around Reno NV, the Premium has leather-trimmed seats. 8-way power-adjustable driver's seat with lumbar support start on the Preferred package.

Music: who doesn't appreciate a good sound system? If you take your playlist seriously and want to make sure it bumps the best, get the Preferred or Premium Mazda3 and drive off with a Bose® speaker system.

Safety: Mazda takes safety seriously, which is why you'll find an array of basic and advanced safety technologies on the Mazda3. On the Base there's a backup camera, Bluetooth for safer hands-free calling, and LED headlights, which is a feature you won't normally find standard!
